Our approach to compliance
CXPAG takes a proactive approach to compliance, aligning every corridor we operate with international best practices for anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CFT). The network is designed to meet the standards our partners' own regulators and auditors expect.
AML & Know Your Business (KYB)
Every payment company and end-counterparty on the network goes through a rigorous AML and KYB program:
- Identity & entity verification: we verify the identity of partners and their beneficial owners before onboarding.
- Real-time transaction monitoring: advanced systems flag and block suspicious activity as it happens, integrated with Chainalysis for on-chain risk assessment.
- Ongoing due diligence: partners are periodically re-screened to ensure continued compliance with our policies and applicable regulation.
Platform security
- End-to-end encryption: all communications and transactions are encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Segregated asset storage: a combination of cold and hot storage keeps the large majority of custodied assets offline.
- Independent audits: regular security audits and penetration testing across the network's infrastructure.
- Certifications: SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and ISO 27701.
Regulatory coverage
- EMI license in the UK and EU, through regulated banking partners.
- VASP registration in Spain, authorizing virtual asset custody and exchange services.
- Money transmission licenses across 50 US states, through banking partners.
